From Kinky Music we would like to announce the release of our new one riddim album. Beware Of Dog, a hard-hitting dancehall riddim, opens this serie of reggae productions which on future issues would change from roots to newroots or dancehall depending on each album.
Beware Of Dog is a digital production rooted in current dancehall reggae. It´s a dark rhythm created by using synthetic sounds and a touch of real instruments, specially made for sound system sessions on dancefloor.
The singularity of these kind of albums is that, although all artists share the same riddim, each singer shapes it up using their own style to make their song unique. Producers do the final touch by giving a different arrangement to each cut. The outcome product, Beware Of Dog, is an assorted album with songs of different topics and music that you can dance to.
As a characteristic of the label, the creation, production, remixing and mastering of this album has been realized entirely by Kinky Music. Only the recording of the voices has depended on the origin of each artist.
In Beware Of Dog you will find tracks from Bounty Killer, Brinsley Forde, Lukie D, Ill Inspecta, Chulito Camacho, Mad Killah, Hermano L, Lexie Lee, Tapón... and up to 19 tracks of singers from Jamaíca, England, Germany, Spain, Costa Rica, France, Panama...
Some of these are highly recognized artists like Bounty Killer or Brinsley Forde (singer of the respected british band Aswad). Others are new up coming artists in Reggae Music. There are also artists probably unknown to your ears but very well known in the reggae scene of their countries. We have also included in this album the chosen song from the internet contest that we promoted to give a chance to those artists who cannot have their creations edited otherwise.
The great reception that Black Rain riddim obtained (Kinky Music 2004) at international level in the Reggae scene, with songs of Capleton, T.O.K., Chulito Camacho with Lukie D, pushed us to give to Beware of Dog riddim an international dimension. This way, and given our possibilities, we’re trying to spread reggae music from wherever it comes from to wherever we can reach to.
